Sightseeing at Tongli ancient water town(同里水乡)
Tongli is an aged town located a short drive from Suzhou, which is about a hour drive outside of Shanghai. Tongli is over 1000 years old. The town is characterized by stone bridges and well preserved ancient architecture including private gardens, temples and houses.

Lingyin Temple: Located at the foot of the Lingyin Hill northwest of the city, Temple of Inspired Seclusion (Lingyin Temple) was built in the Eastern Jin dynasty (317-420).

Pagoda of Six Harmonies: The Six Harmonies Pagoda is located on Yuelun Hill, is one of the true masterpieces of ancient Chinese architectures.

West Lake: West Lake is the symbol of Hangzhou as well as one of the most beautiful sights in China. Early in the Song dynasty, the famous poet Su Shi compared the lake to Xizi, a Chinese Cleopatra: "Ripping water shimmering on sunny day; Misty mountains wonder in the rain; Plain or gaily decked out like Xizi; the West Lake is always alluring". So the Lake is also known as Xizi Lake.

Shanghai Jade Buddha Temple Jade Buddha Temple, is the most famous Buddhist temple in Shanghai. Located at 170 Anyuan Road, the temple was established in 1918 with the style of the Song Dynasty.

Shanghai Yu Garden: Yuyuan is the most famous garden in Shanghai. It is located in the heart of Shanghai's Old City, one of the few existant old tourist places in Shanghai.

The temple to Shanghai’s city god. Each Chinese city used to have a city god based on the Taoist pantheon of Chinese deities and they were worshipped in these colorful temple. Loud, crowded and full of eager worshippers, these temples were rambunctious places where people would gather in front of their preferred god and pray for health and wealth.

Nanjing Road is Shanghai’s main shopping street, famously named one of the World's Seven Great Roads in the 1930s and now making a rapid comeback after decades of Maoist austerity.
