  • Bund in Shanghai: The Bund (Waitan) is one of the most noted architectural symbols of Shanghai. The word "Bund" derives from an Anglo-Indian word for an embankment along a muddy waterfront. The Bund in Shanghai was first used when the first British company opened a office there in 1846.

  • Nanjing Road is Shanghai’s main shopping street, famously named one of the World's Seven Great Roads in the 1930s and now making a rapid comeback after decades of Maoist austerity. The road stretches from The Bund east towards Hongqiao, with Shanghai's center point People's Square in the middle.

  • Sightseeing at Humble Administrator’s Garden(拙政园)
  • The Humble Administrator’s Garden: Suzhou is a famous historical and cultural city, as well as a key scenic tourist one, and a coastal economic opening area. Suzhou has been highly praised as "a paradise on earth" since ancient times. The humble administrator’s Garden in the city is the largest of its kind in the region. It’s one of the Chinese four major gardens and a master piece of the private classic garden. Included in the UNESCO world heritage list in 1997.

  • Sightseeing at Tiger Hill (虎丘)
  • The Tiger Hill: which grounds cover an area of about 14,000 square meters (approx. 3 acres) in total and is home to several historic buildings and landmarks. The burial site of He Lu, entombed here by his son in 476 BC, Verdant Mountain Villa and Lu Yu Well are all accessible and make for interesting viewing.

  • Zhujiajiao is an ancient water town well-known throughout the country, with a history of more than 1700 years. Covering an area of 47 square kilometers, the little fan-shaped town glimmers like a bright pearl in the landscape of lakes and mountains.

  • Sightseeing at Jade Buddha Temple (玉佛寺)
  • Shanghai Jade Buddha Temple Jade Buddha Temple, is the most famous Buddhist temple in Shanghai. Located at 170 Anyuan Road, the temple was established in 1918 with the style of the Song Dynasty. It is an active temple with over 70 monks. The outside of the temple is recognized by the bright yellow walls. It houses a 1.9-metre-tall jade statue of Buddha carved out of a single piece jade whose color is lustrously and spotlessly white.

  • Shanghai Yu Garden: Yuyuan is the most famous garden in Shanghai. It is located in the heart of Shanghai's Old City, one of the few existant old tourist places in Shanghai. Close to the gardens is Shanghai's bazaar, a great number of small streets and lanes where vendors sell their products and food stuffs to the tourists and local people. It is called garden "Yuyuan" - because "yu" in Chinese means "peace and health"-- a place of peace and comfort in the heart of busy Shanghai.

  • Sightseeing at the Chenghuang Temple Bazaar.(城隍庙).
  • The temple to Shanghai’s city god. Each Chinese city used to have a city god based on the Taoist pantheon of Chinese deities and they were worshipped in these colorful temple. Loud, crowded and full of eager worshippers, these temples were rambunctious places where people would gather in front of their preferred god and pray for health and wealth.
